Gaylord
Opryland Resort and Convention Center
Gaylord Opryland is a place where you can go to get away from awhile. There are places where you can shop. You can eat at restaurants in there. There are also activities in which you can attend. There is a family part where you can take your kids and have a family day. On Thanksgiving Day in 1977, the Opryland Hotel opened its doors to guests for the first time. Seven years later, the Opryland Hotel had outgrown and was expanded to increasing numbers of guests. In 1988, 2 acres and 797 guest rooms were added to the hotel. On May 2, 2010, a flood devastated Nashville and caused considerable damage to the Opryland Hotel. Today, the hotel is known as the Gaylord Opryland and has 2,881 rooms and suites.
